Plant bakery №4 (Khleb-4) was the first company purchased by Altayskie Zakroma.
Plant bakery started to operate in the 15th of November in 1958. The plant operated successfully throughout the decades until the 1990-s. Those days almost all plants and factories in the country experienced severe economic hardships. Doubly being essential food staff, breads and bread goods had always been in demand. However, economic recession resulted in ineffective methods of running economy influenced dramatically all industries without exception. The problem was escalating by poor or complete absence of commercial, labor, tax etc. laws. The country was through tough times transforming from planning to market economy.
We provide our customers with the high quality breads, bread goods and confectionery by combining the benefits of up to date technologies with the best traditions of bread and confectionery making. These are people, no doubt, with their commitment to work who provide us with steady growth and development. Our aim is to become leaders on the Siberian bread and confectionery markets. We are interested in the long-term collaboration with our partners based on mutual prosperity.
In the 1990-s the prospect of the plant seemed rather daunting especially with the shortage of raw materials. That is why to find a reliable supplier of raw materials was the matter of priority for the management. Absence of partners aimed to long-term relationship brought the management to the decision of necessity to purchase complementary planting and processing businesses (in 1998 Povalikhinskiy Kombinat Zernopererabotki, which later became one of the main suppliers of raw materials to Plant bakery, was bought). Step by step the idea of vertically integrated business became true. Back to plant bakery, since the time of its acquisition massive investment in it full renovation were made: production facilities- labor force was changed for automatic equipment of domestic and foreign manufactures; office spaces were refurbished. All these changes fostered increasing in productivity and improving of quality of the production.
Nowadays a great variety of delicious and diverse bread, bread goods and confectionery are largely presented on the Siberian market. There are facts and figures to illustrate the capacity of current production: 30 tons per day of various bread and bread goods (traditional and popular ones like whole wheat bread, buns, bagels etc.) are baked that is at 15% share of the bread market; 370 tons per day of diverse confectionery (cookies, waffles, marshmallows etc.) are produced that is at 25% share of the confectionery market. What is more the plant has its own garage with cars to deliver products to stores. 'We realize the responsibility for making safety and health products. That is why we highly appreciate people who work with us and share this responsibility with us is and we always try to create descent work conditions' said Alexander Ternovoy.
